Newspaper Reviews of F/SF
As you may have noticed, when newspapers aren't disappearing altogether, their book review sections more often than not are. To discuss this, Nisi Shawl, Michael Berry and other newspaper reviewers participated in A Book Reviewer Roundtable on "The Future of Newspapers and Book Coverage." Among the questions considered: What do readers lose when book coverage is cut? What does the newspaper lose? Is there anything gained? The participants are also asked to name "one of the most memorable science fiction/fantasy books reviewed during your career." Oh, and a couple of the comments on the roundtable are interesting, too.
